Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include: Suspected child abuse or dependent or elder abuse, I am required by law to report to the proper authorities immediately.

If a client intends to harm himself or herself I will try my best to gain their cooperation in order to be sure they are safe. If the client does not cooperate I will take further steps without their permission that are provided to me by law to ensure their safety.

If a client is threatening bodily harm to another I am a mandated reporter and will notify the police and inform the intended victim.

If there is a terroristic threat I will report this to the authorities.

Risks and Benefits

Some people experience worsening of their mood or conditions due to difficult and painful memories. Many people benefit from counseling or psychotherapy and report an increased sense of well-being and quality of life. Solace Counseling LLC does not guarantee the outcome of treatment.

Fee for Service​​​

I am in-network for Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, United Healthcare Medicare Advantage, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, Aetna and Quest Behavioral Health. For my self-pay clients, payment is due at the beginning of each session. A detailed receipt will be given to the client at each appointment. If out of network and self-pay, clients may turn in their receipts to their insurance carriers for reimbursement. Solace Counseling LLC does NOT guarantee reimbursement by insurance carriers.

Initial assessment is  $150

Individual Sessions $120 per 60 minutes

Couples Sessions $120 per 60 minutes

Pre-marital Counseling $120 per 60 minutes (or 5 sessions for $500)

Individual, Couples and Family sessions $180 per 90 minutes sessions (2 hour sessions  $240)

 

Special offered – Pre-pay $500 for 5 sessions

 

Cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Clients will be billed for the price of the session for no shows and last minute cancellations. Emergency will be taken under consideration.
